La historia de Grillitos Sinfónicos
En el año 2003, en la ciudad de Posadas, Misiones, un grupo de amigos, músicos y docentes soñó con algo que parecía simple, pero revolucionario: crear un espacio donde los niños y jóvenes pudieran aprender música en forma colectiva, tocando juntos en una orquesta. Sin salones propios, sin instrumentos ni recursos, comenzaron con apenas siete chicos y una sala prestada, motivados por la convicción de que la música podía ser un puente hacia una vida mejor.
Así nacieron los Grillitos Sinfónicos, un proyecto educativo y artístico que con el tiempo se convertiría en referente provincial, nacional e incluso internacional. Desde sus primeros días, el espíritu fue comunitario y solidario: las familias ayudaban a organizar rifas, los profesores donaban tiempo y materiales, y cada nuevo instrumento era motivo de celebración.
En 2004 se creó formalmente la Asociación Civil Misiones Musicales, que permitió sostener y dar marco legal al crecimiento del proyecto. Y en 2014, se consolidó la Fundación Grillos, ampliando su radio de acción y desarrollando nuevas propuestas pedagógicas y artísticas.
Hoy, más de 500 personas participan activamente de sus programas, entre niños, adolescentes y adultos, en distintas sedes de Posadas y del interior de la provincia.
🌱 Música para todos, desde la infancia
El proyecto no tardó en expandirse. Se incorporaron niveles y agrupaciones según el proceso formativo de cada estudiante: orquesta de iniciación, pre-infantil, infantil y juvenil, además de talleres de canto, guitarra, lectoescritura musical y expresión corporal.
En 2012, nació el jardín maternal y nivel inicial Mi Mundo Grillo, con una propuesta pedagógica centrada en la sensibilidad artística desde la primera infancia. Y más adelante, se sumaron propuestas para adultos, comedia musical inclusiva, coros, teatro y agrupaciones de rock.
🌎 Viajes, giras y encuentros
A lo largo de su historia, los Grillitos han representado a Misiones y a la Argentina en numerosos escenarios. Han viajado a Italia, Paraguay, Brasil, Uruguay, México y Perú, participando de festivales, encuentros corales y giras formativas.
Fueron parte fundamental del Festival Internacional Iguazú en Concierto (2010–2019) y organizadores del Festival de las Dos Orillas, entre otros eventos de gran convocatoria. En 2013 y 2018 realizaron viajes a Europa, tocando en Roma, Nápoles, Milán, Turín y Salerno, compartiendo experiencias con músicos de todo el mundo y llevando la música misionera a escenarios impensados.
🏡 La casa propia: crecimiento con raíces
Con el tiempo, la Fundación logró consolidar dos sedes activas en Posadas:
- La histórica sede de Av. Tambor de Tacuarí 3916, donde funciona el jardín, talleres y el centro de formación musical.
- El Auditorio Fundación Grillos, inaugurado en Comandante Miño 2418, convertido hoy en un centro cultural de referencia: allí se realizan conciertos, funciones de teatro musical, encuentros corales y festivales abiertos al público.
🎓 Formación superior y alianzas
Desde 2021, la Fundación articula con universidades nacionales para dictar la Tecnicatura Universitaria en Instrumentos de Orquesta (UNA), con clases presenciales y virtuales. Además, organiza campamentos musicales, encuentros binacionales, festivales y conciertos con agrupaciones de toda la región.
También firmó convenios de cooperación con la Universidad Nacional de Misiones, la Fundación Barceló y diversas instituciones culturales de Paraguay, México y otras provincias argentinas.
✨ 2024: un año de expansión, inclusión y comunidad
Este año, Grillitos celebró sus 21 años con más de 300 estudiantes participando activamente en orquestas, talleres y agrupaciones artísticas. El jardín Mi Mundo Grillo sumó nuevas actividades, los elencos teatrales presentaron funciones en el Teatro Lírico, y se lanzaron festivales nuevos como el Primer Festival de Trompetas de Misiones, homenajes a Beethoven y producciones inclusivas como “Lugar de Estrellas”, para jóvenes con discapacidad.
Además, se llevaron adelante conciertos colaborativos con orquestas de Toluca (México), nuevas alianzas con hospitales y barrios, y una fuerte apuesta a la formación de docentes, directores y músicos en toda la provincia.
💬 Un legado que sigue sonando
Grillitos Sinfónicos no es solo una escuela de música. Es una comunidad viva que apuesta cada día al arte como herramienta de inclusión, transformación y crecimiento colectivo. Un lugar donde los chicos aprenden a tocar, pero también a compartir, a expresarse, a soñar juntos.
Porque como suele decirse entre quienes conocen su historia:
“Aquí no solo enseñamos a tocar instrumentos, enseñamos a escuchar, a convivir y a creer en lo posible.”
The History of Grillitos Sinfónicos
In 2003, in the city of Posadas, Misiones, Argentina, a small group of friends, musicians, and teachers came together with a simple but powerful dream: to create a space where children and young people could learn music collectively, playing together in an orchestra. With no facilities, few instruments, and limited resources, they began with just seven children and a borrowed room, driven by the conviction that music could be a bridge toward a better future.
That’s how Grillitos Sinfónicos was born—an educational and artistic project that, over the years, would become a regional, national, and even international reference. From the very beginning, it was built on community effort and solidarity: families helped organize raffles, teachers volunteered their time, and every new instrument was a collective achievement.
In 2004, the project took formal shape with the creation of the Civil Association Misiones Musicales, which gave it legal standing and helped support its steady growth. A decade later, in 2014, the Grillos Foundation was established, expanding the scope of its educational and artistic mission.
Today, more than 500 people—children, teens, and adults—participate in its many programs across different sites in Posadas and other towns in the province of Misiones.
🌱 Music for All, From Early Childhood
The initiative quickly grew to include multiple levels of musical training: introductory, pre-children’s, children’s, and youth orchestras, as well as workshops in singing, guitar, musical literacy, and body movement.
In 2012, the early childhood center “Mi Mundo Grillo” was launched, offering an arts-based, sensitive approach to education from infancy. The Foundation also added inclusive theater programs, adult workshops, choirs, and youth rock bands.
🌍 Travel, Tours, and Cultural Exchanges
Throughout its history, Grillitos has represented Misiones and Argentina on a wide range of stages. The group has toured Italy, Paraguay, Brazil, Uruguay, Mexico, and Peru, participating in international festivals and artistic exchanges.
They were an integral part of the International Festival “Iguazú en Concierto” (2010–2019) and organizers of the Dos Orillas Festival, among other major events. In 2013 and again in 2018, the orchestra traveled to Rome, Naples, Milan, Turin, and Salerno, performing and collaborating with musicians from around the world—bringing the sound of Misiones to new audiences.
🏡 Building Roots: A Home of Their Own
Over time, the Foundation secured and developed two active headquarters in Posadas:
- The historic site at Av. Tambor de Tacuarí 3916, where the early childhood center and music school are based.
- The Grillos Foundation Auditorium, at Comandante Miño 2418, now a major cultural venue that hosts concerts, theatrical productions, festivals, and public events.
🎓 Higher Education and Partnerships
Since 2021, the Foundation has partnered with national universities to offer the University Technician Program in Orchestral Instruments (UNA), with both in-person and virtual classes. Grillitos also hosts music camps, national and binational gatherings, and collaborative concerts with regional ensembles.
New institutional partnerships were formed with the National University of Misiones, the Barceló Foundation, and various cultural organizations from Paraguay, Mexico, and across Argentina.
✨ 2024: A Year of Inclusion, Community, and Growth
In 2024, Grillitos celebrated 21 years of music and community with more than 300 active students across its orchestras, workshops, and artistic programs. The Mi Mundo Grillo early education center expanded its activities, and the theatrical teams performed major productions at the Teatro Lírico.
This year also saw the launch of new festivals, such as the First Misiones Trumpet Festival, tributes to Beethoven, and the growth of inclusive programs like “Lugar de Estrellas”, designed for young people with disabilities.
Grillitos hosted guest orchestras from Toluca, Mexico, organized events in hospitals and community centers, and continued investing in teacher training and public engagement across the province.
💬 A Legacy That Still Rings Out
Grillitos Sinfónicos is more than a music school. It is a living community, where art becomes a tool for inclusion, education, and shared joy. A space where children not only learn to play instruments but also to listen, express themselves, collaborate, and dream together.
